Lindsay Adelmeyer
Dr. Lindsay Adelmeyer is a born “desert-rat” from Phoenix, Arizona where she lived for 23 years.
Her love for aquatic medicine, and forever dream of working with sea turtles, led her to Daytona Beach, Florida; where she had the opportunity to treat sea turtles and other reptiles in the rehab hospital at the Marine Science Center.
Simultaneously working as a technician at a small animal and exotic general practice helped her realize that her heart lay where she could help people and animals. While her number one goal is improving the lives of animals, the ability to provide guidance and a place of comfort for the people that love them, is what keeps her going.
She moved to Colorado to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University where she progressed her passions for exotic animal medicine, anesthesia, pain-management, and reducing fear in the hospital. She excitedly accepted a position at Alpine Hospital for Animals and now calls Boulder home. While she occasionally misses the desert and the ocean, the mountains of Colorado are where she feels most at home. Outside of veterinary medicine, she has many outdoor adventuring hobbies, enjoys a good Netflix binge session, and enjoys getting lost in Subnautica.
