Medical Director
Dr. Jessica Stein, DVM, cVMA
Dr. Jessica Stein is a Colorado native who can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to be a vet. She moved back to Boulder in 2015 after practicing in Madison, WI for four years while her husband completed a veterinary radiology and diagnostic imaging residency.
She is very happy to be back! She practiced in the Denver and Thornton areas for 9 years prior to moving and is excited to finally be able to both work and live in the community she loves, doing what she loves.
Dr. Stein received her Bachelor of Animal Science from the University of Arizona in 1998 and received her doctor of veterinary medicine from the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science in 2002. She became certified in veterinary medical acupuncture in 2006. She completed advanced training for minimally invasive laparoscopic spays, gastropexies and other procedures at Colorado State University. Her special interests include pain management, soft tissue and dental surgery, internal medicine, emergency/critical care, and preventative health. She really enjoys fostering the bond between her clients and their four legged families.
In her time away from the clinic she enjoys spending time with her husband John, two dogs (Nala and Maddie) and two cats (Delilah and Colby). She also enjoys skiing, camping, trail running, cycling, rock climbing, SCUBA diving, reading, cooking, gardening and travelling.
